Ha! So I thought I posted this one already. Opps. These are the pictures from Brad's fabulous surprise 30th birthday party! Which was almost a disaster because of an uncooperative birthday boy...
I made arrangements with Brad's brother Justin and Crystal (his girlfriend) to keep Brad occupied while I set up for the party (he thought I was working). Easier said than done! People weren't supposed to arrive until 12:30 and at 11:00 a.m. I start getting texts from Justin saying that they are having trouble keeping him there. Uh-oh! The rouse to get him there was to help move a couch, which takes 10 minutes tops. So the idea was that they could play video games...that. was. the. idea.
But Brad wanted to get chores done, "I need to change my oil," "I need to get Ty home so he can eat". So to make a long story short we recruited Mom and Dad and they were able to entice Brad with "swirl cake"! For those of you not familiar with "swirl cake" it is Brad's favorite and a family recipe that I can never get quite right.
So I had to call everyone on the guest list and encourage them to get a move on and arrive ASAP. It all worked out in the end, everyone showed up in time for the surprise (except Mom and Dad)! It was so much fun just to see the priceless look on his face...
That was so much fun and so chaotic at the same time. I remember getting the call from Justin while shopping at Target telling me that Brad was on his way home and I needed to leave Target immediately and rush to the house. Not to mention I was shopping with both kids, in the toy section. Not an easy feat to rush out of the store. But, we made it and it was a fun party!
